Mixed Media Artist YURI
「余白」「光」「存在の気配」をテーマに、
自然素材やテクスチャーを用いた作品を制作。
蓮の葉、切り絵、レジンなど、
異なる素材を重ね合わせながら、
目には見えない静けさや空間の気配を表現している。
16年間の公立中学校美術教員経験を持ち、
これまでに2,200人以上へ美術指導を行う。
現在は国内外で作品を発表し、
スイス、イタリア、イギリス、スペインなどの国際展覧会へ出展。
平面作品に加え、
空間に作用するインスタレーション表現へも活動を広げている。
Mixed Media Artist YURI
YURI is a Japanese mixed media artist whose work explores silence, invisible presence, light, and spatial atmosphere through natural materials and layered textures.
Using lotus leaves, paper cutting, texture, acrylic, and resin, she creates works that express unseen connections and quiet presence within space.
After 16 years as a public junior high school art teacher in Japan, guiding more than 2,200 students, she began developing her own artistic practice centered on spatial expression and material experimentation.
Currently, her works are exhibited both in Japan and internationally, including exhibitions in Switzerland, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Spain.
Alongside two-dimensional works, YURI is also expanding her practice into installation-based expression that quietly transforms the atmosphere of a space itself.

静けさの中に、
確かに存在し続けるもの。
私は、自然素材や光、
そして「余白」を通して、
目には見えない存在の気配を描いています。
蓮の葉、切り絵、テクスチャー、レジン。
異なる素材を重ねることで、
記憶や感情の奥から立ち上がる感覚を、
空間の中へそっと置いていく。
作品は「見るもの」であると同時に、
その場の空気や静けさに作用する
存在でありたいと考えています。
目には見えないけれど、
確かにそこにあるもの。
その気配を、
私は作品として残していきたいと思っています。
Within silence,
there are things that continue to exist beyond visibility.
Through natural materials, light, and the concept of “space,”
I explore the subtle presence of what cannot be seen.
By layering lotus leaves, paper cutting, texture, and resin,
I seek to place quiet sensations — emerging from memory and emotion — gently into space.
My works are not only meant to be viewed,
but to softly influence the atmosphere and stillness surrounding them.
Things unseen,
yet undeniably present.
I continue creating in order to leave traces of that invisible presence within the world.
