About me / 自己紹介
I am YURI, a contemporary artist who creates works by combining diverse materials and techniques such as plants, paper cutting, resin, texture, acrylic, and oil painting.
With 16 years of experience as a junior high school art teacher in Japan, during which I guided over 2,200 students, I now build upon that foundation as a contemporary artist.
Currently, my practice is centered on exhibitions worldwide, while also expanding through workshops.

植物や切り絵、レジン、テクスチャー、アクリル、油絵など、さまざまな素材や技法を組み合わせ、作品を制作しています。
中学校美術教員として16年間勤務し、2200人以上の生徒にアートを届けてきた経験を経て、
現在は国内外の展示活動を軸に、ワークショップでも表現を広げています。

Artist Statement / ステートメント
Within silence, there exists something that continues to endure.
Through nature, light, and the motif of the drop, my works express what is universal—what is invisible yet undeniably present.
Drops serve as vessels that hold fleeting memories and sensations.
By layering plants, paper cutting, and various materials, I seek to capture these subtle presences that rise from memory and emotion, and embody them in light, color, and form.
静けさの中に、確かに存在し続けるもの。
私の作品は、自然や光、そして雫というモチーフを通じて、
「普遍的な存在」や「目には見えないけれどそこに宿るもの」を描き出しています。

植物や切り絵、素材の層を重ねることで、記憶や感情の奥から立ち上がる一瞬の気配をすくい取り、光や色、かたちとして表現しています。
